It Started With One Family's Stone
I have been in the monument business since 1996, when I started straightening, leveling, and selling headstones, foot stones, and grave markers at my local cemetery.— John Markas, Founder
The marker that pushed John to invent Grave Saver wasn't a stranger's — it was his own family's. The stone marking "Father, John Markas, 1890–1981" kept sinking and staining in its cement base, the same way hundreds of markers John had already reset for other families across the Iron Range. He built a rigid foundation to hold it instead, patented the design, and has been making it in the USA — with a lifetime warranty — ever since.
